1. What will the zine be about?
Inspired by classy, bespoken runways and photoshoots,「 EMPIRE 」is a fashion fanzine centered around Kuroo and Tsukishima. As with the nature of this zine, it will heavily feature crafted outfits, accessories, and masterful depictions such as Sendai Frogs!Tsukishima sportswear, JVA!Kuroo in a suit, or even the two promoting the latest in fashion trends and watch wear. Authors can expect to write interviews, articles, and columns.2. What kind of zine will this be?
Provided enough interest is garnered, we will be doing both a digital and physical zine with supporting merchandise. The zine itself will be portrait style and perfect bound. It will be SFW and the rating will be up to Teen. The mods will thoroughly review each piece so that it fits within these parameters and guidelines. The format will also be reminiscent of a magazine!3. Will this zine be for-profit or charity?
This zine will be for-profit! Once production and shipping costs are accounted for, all proceeds will be distributed evenly to contributors. Please note that all contributors will receive a full bundle of the zine for free at no cost to them.4. How many contributors will there be?
There will be a total of 20-30 contributors with some guests being invited to participate. A sample breakdown would be: 18 page artists, 5 merch artists, and 7 writers.5. How many pieces can contributors do?
Artists can contribute 1-2 full-page pieces if they desire. Anything from illustrations to spreads and comics are welcomed. Likewise, authors can contribute 1-2 pieces with word counts ranging from 500 to 1,500 depending on the nature of their piece (interview, article, etc).6. Is Discord mandatory for this zine?
Yes, it is! Once contributors are chosen, they will receive an email with a link to the zine's server. Moderators will use Discord as the main hub of communication so that contributors are privy to any creation, production, and fulfillment-related updates. Again, it is an absolute necessity that contributors join the server.
- Applicants and contributors must be 20+ to participate in this zine
- You must create a new and original piece for the zine that has not yet been published
- If using Google Drive to submit a portfolio, please make sure permissions are enabled
- As with the nature of this zine, submissions must be SFW
- You may apply for all three positions, but you must submit separate applications as you will only be accepted for one position.
- This should be a given, but DO NOT USE AI or you will be immediately disqualified and banned from all future projects.
Artists
We strongly prefer submissions that are fully illustrated and have a background. Submissions will be evaluated based on a mixture of components such as style, composition, coloring, anatomy, and originality.
Please submit three (3) samples that you feel best represent your work. If applying for merch, please also include samples of your merch- At least one (1) must be krtsk

We strongly prefer submissions that are devoid of grammatical and spelling errors. Submissions will be evaluated based on a mixture of components such as characterization, syntax, and dialogue
